Roger Robeartes (b. ca. 1614; d. ?). Mariner.

Late gunner on the ship the Sampson of London (Master: John Lynes).

Resident in 1654 in Shadwell in the parish of Stepney.

Evidence from High Court of Admiralty

Forty year old Roger Robeartes deposed on August 9th 1654 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined "On the behalfe of Captaine John Lynes late commander of the shipp the Sampson of London".[1]

The case concerned the seizure of the ship the Sampson at Bahia in Brazil by the King of Portugal in May 1649.
