Biographical synthesis

Robert fframpton (b. ca. 1625; d. ?). Shipwright.

Late carpenter on the ship the Brazil ffrigot (Master: Thomas Heath).

Resident in XXXX in Limehouse.

Evidence from High Court of Admiralty

Thirty-five year old Robert fframpton deposed on XXX in the High Court of Admiralty. He ws examined on an allegation in the case of XXX.[1]

Robert fframpton stated that he had been carpenter of the ship the Brazil ffrigot oon a voyage from ffarnambuco in Brazil to Angola in Africa, and that the Governor of Angola, John ffernandez Viera, travelled the same route in a ship which accompanied the Brazil ffrigot. The voyage took place a year and a half before fframpton's deposition.[2]

Robert fframpton stated that when he was at Angola John ffernandez Viera had two ships fitted out to seize an English ship which was at Bengall on the coast of Africa.[3]
