THOMAS MASSAM [In LH margin]

I THOMAS MASSAM of London Scrivener Inhabitant of S:t Martins Ludgate being at present ill and indisposed in bodie, but of sound and good memorie and understanding Praised be God for this and all other his Mercies vouchsafed to mee, doe make my last Will and testament, and doe Order will appoint and dispose that temporall Estate and worldly substance, where with it hath pleased Almightie God to blesse mee, in manner and forme following, (that is to say) My Soull being recommended to God that gave it, and my Bodie to the Earth whereof it was formed, I doe Order and appoint the due Payment of all debts which I shall justly owe at the tyme of my decease: And whereas by Articles in writing made upon and before my intermarriage with Martha my nowe wife, It was agreed (in effect) That shee surviving, I should at my death leave her the Summe of One thousand pounds of Lawfull money of England, which shee was to take and accept in full satisfaction of all dower and Thirds and other share and Interest which shee might have or clayme in or to my Estate either reall or personall Nowe in pursuance thereof I doe give and bequeath to my said Wife the Summe of One thousand pounds of lawfull money of England, And in token of my reall love and affection towards her, I give and bequeath to my said wife All my Plate jewells Bedding handings Lynnen Woollen brasse pewter furniture and implements of household and other movables whatsoever in and about my dwelling house in the Old Baily in London not herein after otherwise given and disposed, Shee paying
