IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN the first and twentieth day of November in the third yeare of the raigne of our Sovereigne Lord James the second by the Grace of God of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the faith x:r Annoq domini One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Seaven I Sir George Ent Knight and Doctor in Physick being of a good and disposeing memory and understanding doe make this my last Will and testament as followeth

FFIRST I commend my Soule to the mercy of God And I doe desire my body may bee decently buried according to the discretion of my Executrix

And as touching my temporall estate I give devise and dispose thereof in manner and forme following that is to say

I give and devise my mannour and Rectory of East Langton and all other my Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments in the County of Kent unto my sonne Josias Ent for and dureing the terme of his naturall life only and not for any Estate Intaile And from and after the forfeiture or other determination of the said estate for life of the said Josias Ent Then to such of Samuel Meverells of London Merchant and William Head of the Citty of Rochester Barber and James Thurstone of the Citty of Rochester aforesaid Sen. as shall bee liveing at the time of my death and to the survivors and survivor of them and to the heires of the survivor of them for and dureing the terme of the naturall life of the said Josias Ent to the intent and purpose to preserve supporte and keepe on foote the contingent uses and remainders hereafter in this my Will limited and devised And for that purpose from time to time to make such entrie and entries into the said Mannour Rectory Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments in the said Countyes of Lincolne and Kent and every or any of themas they or any of them shall thinke fit and expedient And from and after the decease of my said sonne Josias Ent then to the first sonne of the body of the said Josias Ent lawfully begotten and to bee begotten and to the heires male of the body of such first sonne lawfully to bee begotten And for deafult of such Issue then unto the second third fourth fifth and to all and every other sonne and sonnes of the body of the said Josias Ent lawfully to bee begotten and to the heires males of the body and bodyes of such sonne and sonnes respectively as the same sonne and sonnes shall bee in priority of birth and seniority of age the elder of such sonnes respectively and the heires male of his body beong allwayes to bee preferred before the younger of such sonnes and the heires male of his body And for default of such Issue then my sonne Edward Ent for and dureing the terme of his naturall life only and not for any estate Intayle And from and after the forfeiture or other sooner determination of the said estate for life of the said Edward Ent then to such of them the foresiad Samuell Meverall William Head and James Thurstone as shall bee liveing at the time of my death and to the survivors and survivor of them and to the heires of the survivor of them for an dureing the terme of the naturall life of the said Edward Ent to the intent and purpose to preserve support and keepe on foote the contingent uses and remainders hereafter in this my Will limitted and devised...
