Robert Breton of London Merchant beinge att present in perfect health minde and memory but intending to make a sudden voyage beyond the Seas doe make my last will and Testament as followeth

FFIRST and principally I commend my soule into the hands of Almighty God trustinge and assuredly beleevinge through the meritts death and passion of my Saviour Jesus to receave remission of all my sinns my body I committ to the earth from whence it came and for such worldly estate God of his goodnes hath bestowed upon mee my debts and funerall charges bee first paid I give and dispose of the same as fololoweth

IMPRIMIS I give and bequeath into the poore of the parish of Broughton in Leicestershire where I received my first breath and beinge Tenn pounds sterlinge

ITEM I give and bequeath to my nephew Robert Breton sonne of my deceased brother Richard Breton fower hundred pounds to my two Neeses Elizabeth and Anne his sisters one hundred pounds to each of them to my Neece Catherine Breton yett unmaryed Two hundred pounds and to my Nephew Richard Breton One hundred pounds beinge all the issue of my said deceased brother Richard Breton

ITEM I give and bequeath to Judith Breton my Neece and daughter to my brother Daniell Breton yett unmarryed Two hundred pounds

ITEM I give and bequeath to my Nephew and Godsonne Thomas Breton sonne of my brother Thomas Breton one hundred pounds

ITEM I give and bequeath one hundred pounds to bee distributed amongst the poore est of my kindred which I leave to the discretion of my Executors as they shall thinke fitt

ITEM I give and bequeath to Thomas Roberts and Elizabeth Roberts the issue of my brother John and Sister Mary Roberts his wife one hundred each and if , when it shall please God that this will shall bee made use of my estate bee not founde to be sufficient to pay the said Legacies my will is that an equall abatement bee made of every Legacie proportionably

ITEM I give and bequeath to my fower sisters in Law That is to the wife of my deceased brother Richard Breton the wife of my brother Daniell Breton the wife of my brother William and the wife of my brother Thomas Breton to each five pounds for a remembrance and I doe hereby declare that if any of the avovesaid mentioned parties should not bee liveinge when this will is published my will is that the Legacie or Legacies of the said deceased shall bee devided amongst the rest of my cosens accordinge to their severall proportions

what more estate I may have left after the discharge and payment of the severall Legacies abovesaid I give and bequeath into my three Brothers Daniell Breton John Breton and Thomas Breton and to my sister Mary Roberts and to all my brother Richard Bretons children as if hee were liveinge to bee devided in five equall shares amongst them reserveinge one hundred pounds which I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Rpbert ffleetwood

ITEM I declare that whereas I have some accompts standinge upon with my freind M:r Richard Baker as appeares by my bookes of Accompte my will is that nothinge shall bee demanded of him more than hee shall freely doe of himselfe and I doe make and prdaine my loveinge Brothers John Vreton and Thomas Breton Executors of this my will and Testament whereunto I have sett my hand and seale dated in ?Deale the third of March one Thousand six hundred ffifty nine Robert Breton.
