the time aforesaid there were severall Dutch ships there And
saith that hee did see severall of their sternes but did not see
that any of them had the New Exchange in their sterne et alr

beinge at Bourdeaux in the ship Saint ffrancis de Paule in or about May or
Juine last the ship the New Exchange Captaine Vagher shee
came then thither and before this deponent knew not the sayd shipp New Exchange her
skipper or Company, and saith that after some stay at Bourdeaux
the sayd ship went to Brouage to lade salt, and saith that on the 10th of
July last new stile the sayd ship Saint ffrancis de Paule arrived at Saint Martins
and the next morning the sayd shipp New Exchange came thither and there
shee stayd about two or three howers and then shee put out to sea but the
Saint ffrancis suddenly after lost her. And saith hee never saw the sayd shipp New Exchange
before her seizure but the said times, and saith That when hee [?XXX]
her at about Saint Martins and likewise at Bourdeaux hee saw
her weare the Burgundian Colors which is a Crosse in a white
feild which Colors fflandrian shipps doe use to weare, and saith that
