Isaacus Stockman Civitatis Londinensia Mercator
annos agens 31. Testia product et deponit
prout sequitur.
Ad jum et 2dum Allegaconis predict dicit That hee this
Deponent being resident here at London all the tyme arlate cannot
speake particularly to these article, Saving that hee hath knowne
the arlate Jacob Pursersen ever since hee can remember and the
arlate Samuel Stockman is this Deponents brother, and John de
Grote hee hath often heard of, and well knoweth that they
were and are all Cittizens of Hamborough; and this Deponent
receaved letters of advice from his sayd Brother at Hamborough
that hee and his partners had a Shipp called the Fortune of Hamburgh Dirrick [?DXXXXX] [?master]
taken by the English, (being the
Shipp in question), and that none but Hamburgers were
interessed therein, and gave this Deponent order to put in their
Clayme, and to that purpose sent the Bills of lading annexed
to this Allegation of which there wilbe occasion to speake
more in his following depositions Et salvia deposits et
deponends alr nescit.
