Warner against Watson and how.}

Examined upon an allegation on the behalfe
of the said Warner made in the acts the
second instant.

George ffaulkener of Debtford in the County
of Kent Mariner, aged 40 yeares
or thereabouts sworne and examined.

To the said allehgation hee saith and deposeth that hee hath used the trade
of Virginia for theise sixteene yeeres last past and hath bin severall
times at Virginia upon the imployment of lading of tobaccoes, and thereby
well knoweth the condition and size of casks there used for lading of the
said commodities

To the Interrogatories.

and went the first time upon his owne account
to traffique, the second time as sopra cargo as aforesaid, and the last time stweward
of the shipp Expedition, and saith hee liveth in Debtford and soe hath donne
for five or six yeares, and before that in Crooked Lane and other places in London,
and now useth the sea as a sea man, and saith hee is not but very little
in debt, and hath none but small estate having had greate losses at sea. And
furthe hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.

To the second negatively to all.

To the third hee saith there were many severall persons had tobaccoes in the
said shipp the Alexander the said voyage which were brought home in her, and
for that hee cannot now answer it being soe long since, saving Mr Warner
the producent had then some of the said tobaccoes soe brought home, Mr Wilson
other and others other.
