Transcription

To the 34th she sayth she never came in Company of any shipps
whatsoever from Cadiz.

To the 35th she saith she cannot depose nor hath deposed any
thing to the 17th article unterrate saving of report and fame
onely, which she heard of diverse hollanders whose names
she cannot specify.

To the 36th she sayth she hath not so deposed.

To the 37th she knoweth not the names of the sayd Trumpeter
and ships boy nor of either of them, but saith that
the discourse she had with them was in the Lowdutch tongue
in the summer tyme 1653. att
severall tymes severally in the sayd tyme as she
mett them occasionally passing to and fro upon Toer Hill
the tyme otherwise she cannot specifty. And saith that meeting
with the sayd Trumpeter alone upon Tower hill within the tyme aforesaid
and falling into discourse with him touching Holland and Amsterdam
he in such discourse amongst other things sayd these or the
very like words, videlicet. Ick soude met de schipper Otto Jurians
naer Amsterdam vaere n maer hy is nu jier arresteert, ende
hier blijven moet, ende ick sal na alleen t'Amsterdam gaen
onde wil een breive van u nemen bot u. moeder and the
said Ships boy upon like occasion upon Tower hill being alone
spake words to the like effect - this deponent taking occasion
and understanding him to be Otto Georges shipps boy to aske him where
he was borne, and how he came here, and whither he was bound
whereto he answered in these or the like words, Ick bin t'Hamburgh
gheboort, onde de jonge van Otto Jurians, ande sal mel hem
t'Amsterdam gaen, als dal onse schip claer is:
And otherwise or further she cannot depose

To the 38th she saith she cannot depose.

To the 39th she saith she doth expect some reqward for
her paynes in attending here, and shall be content with what
shall be given her. And otherwise negatively.

To the 40th she saith she holdeth the sayd shipp Sampson and her
ladeing thereof to be good prize to the English and would
condemne them were it in her power; As for the Salvador and
Saint George she knoweth not what to answer concerning them
And further cannot depose.

To
