To the 14th he saith he is not concerned.
To the 15th he is not concerned.
To the 16th he saith he saw none of the writings interrate throwne
over board
To the 17th he saith he was not of the Company of any of the
shipps that made the seizure.
To the 18. he saith he did never enter into the sayd shipp.
To the 19th he saith he never saw and perused any of the writings
interrate
To the 20th he saith that so farr as he knoweth he never saw the sayd
shipp the Sampson att Amsterdam.
To the 21. hee is not concerned.
To the 22th he is not concerned.
To the 23. he saith in the beginning of the yeare 1649. he
lived att Roterdam and there continued till June 1652. and
then he came for England and lived in East Smithfeild till
about this tyme was two yeares, and then went to Roterdam and
there and too and fro in holland lived about five monethes
and then returned for England, and ever [?sithence] hath
lived in East Smithfeild where his now dwellimng is. And
further he cannot depose
To the 24th he saith he never was att Cadiz.
To the 25th he saith he never saw any silver delivered out
of the sayd shipp Sampson att Amsterdam to any person so far
as he knoweth.

To the 29th he saith he was not att Cadiz, and saving that the
sayd three shipps and masters by common report came from
Cadiz cannot further depose.

Tio the 33, he saith it is usuall for shipps of severall States
to meet att the Port of a freind and to depart together and
yet to sayle each shipp to her owne proper home or place of
consignment. And further cannot depose
