would adiudge and condemne for prize the severall shipps the

Sampson the Salvador and the Saint George Interrogate with their severall ladeings
because hee verily beleeveth them to belonge to hollanders and to be as good
prize to thi State as any that ever they tooke./

To the 41th hee referreth him selfe to his foregoeing deposition And otherwise negatively./

To the 42th negatively for his part saying there was never any falling
out betwixt this deponent and the sayd Otto George
nor did this deponent ever demande any wages of him having never
served in his shipp

To the 43th hee saith hee is only a lodger at the place aforesayd of his
present aboade and is not taxed to the Commonwealth and is a Sayle
maker by trade./

The answer of the foresaid Jurian Martinson to the Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first hee saith that hee was not one of the company nor was in the said
shipp the Sampson the voyage in question, but formerly for 18 monethes or thereabouts
together ended about 4 yeares since hee served in her as one of her common
mariners, at the rate of five peeces of eight per money, and was hired at
Amsterdam and there shipped by the said Otto George.

To the second negatively, saying hee was not present at the ladeing in question.

To the third hee cannot depose.

To the fourth hee saith hee well knoweth the foresaid Peter Eleson one of the reputed owners
of the said shipp the Sampson and hath soe donne for theise two or three yeeres last past
or thereabouts, and this deponent toooke him to be an owner when this deposnent soe served
in her because hee the said Otto George and company used to repare to him for
supplying her with necessaries And otherwise hee cannot depose saving as aforesaid.

To the fifth hee saith hee sawe the said Peter Eleson at Amsterdam in winter last
but did not speake to or with him, and saith hee is a middle statured man
well complexioned and of about 33 yeares of age in this deponents estimation.
And otherwise hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.

To the 6th hee saith hee can speake the Northsea language and lowe dutch
and noe other language, and that Northsea is his mother tongue, and the
other hee learnt in his youth.

To the 7th hee saith hee can neither write nor reade.

To the 8th hee saith hee knoweth not him that was Purser of the Sampson
at the time of her seizure, or that is nowe Purser of her.

To the 9 10 and 11th hee answereth negatively.

To the 12 hee hath not soe deposed.

To the 13 negatively.

To the 14 and 15 hee hath not soe deposed.

To the 16 negatively.

To the 17 negatively.

To the 18 negatively.

To the 19 negatively.

To the 10th hee saith hee hath seene the said shipp the Sampson at Amsterdam about foure
yeares since at which time hee sailed thence in her for Spaine as one
of her company, And otherwise saving his foregoeing deposition hee cannot depose.
