of the shipp wheereto they belonged and knew that they who had not then have bin
questioned and punished for soe doeing, And further to this Interrogatorie hee cannot answere/

To the 8th hee saith hee was present on board the Imploymet when the dammage
in question was firest discovered to have happened, And further hee cannot
answere./

To the 9th hee saith hee was imployed by the Master (after the dammage happened)
upon severall imployments according as the Master thought fitt, somtymes to helpe
to pumpe, sometymes to waigh Anchor and somtymes to bayle water, and stood somtymes
fower or 5 howers togeather in the shipps hold up to middle in water to helpe to bayle water out of her,
And saith hee sawe the Master of the Imployment pay money to divers persons for
helpeing to pumpe and bayler and doe other things in order to her preservation, but
the particuler summes or to whome by name paid hee remembreth not, And further
to this Interrogatorie hee cannot answere./

To the 10th hee saith hee was noe owner, the tyme Interrogate, nor had any relation
to any owner of the Imployment saving as hee was one of her company/

To the 11th hee saith that soe farr as ever this deponent could or did observe
hee lookeing diligently about as is predeposed there was noe boye to the Anchor of the James and martyn before the dammage
predeposed of happened nor the next day after, And further saving his
foregoing deposition hee cannot answere/

To the 12th hee cannot answere having not heard any person whatsoever
saye any thing to the effeect Interrogate./

To the 13th hee cannot answere having not heared any thing as is
Interrogate./

To the 14th hee saith hee never heard any such thing as is Interrogate and
therefore cnnot answere thereto

To the last hee saith hee hath satisfied the contents thereof before soe
farr as hee can./

To the first hee saith hee was Carpenter and one of the Company of the Im=
ployment the tyme Interrogate And further cannot answere/

To the 2 Interrogatorie hee answereth that the Imployment laye moored from Satterday
the 29th of September last which was the say shee first moored till the next
Wednesday following in the evening, before the damage in question
happened to her And further hee cannot answere/

To the 3 Interrogatorie hee saith the Imployment laye about fiftie ffathom distant
from the James and Martin both before and at the tyme the damage in question
happened And saith there were three other shipps laye neere the
Imployment some a head and some a sterne of her when the damage
