Touching the victualling of}
Prizoners aboard the Lowrell}
ffrigott}

Richard Minors of the parish of Saint Andrew in holborne
Mariner aged 24 yeares or thereabouts, being sworne
before the right worshippfull John Godolphin doctor
of lawes one of the Judges of the Admiralty Court
saith as followeth videlicet./

That whereas there were five dutch men taken out of the david Galliott
which was taken the nyneth of Juky 1653 as prize by the Lawrell
ffrigott and her company in the imediate service of the state hee doth depose
by virtue of his oath that the sayd five dutchmen were taken aboard the sayd
ffrigott and there matnteyned with the same allowance of victualls which the sayd
friggotts company had from the sayd nyneth of July 1653 untill the sixteenth day
of the same moneth And hee alsoe deposeth that whereas there was alsoe a
shipp of warr called the Rose Tree taken bu the sayd ffrigott and her company
upon the third of JUne 1653 that eighty nyne dutch men of the company
of the sayd shipp the Rose tree taken in her were maynteyned aboard the said ffrigott with
the same allowance of victualls which the sayd frigotts company had from
the third of the sayd moneth of June unto the fifth thereof, and that there
remayned on board the sayd frigott the sixth day of the sayd moneth twenty fower
of the sayd eighty dutch men who were maynteyned that day with the like
allowance of victualls as the sayd frigotts company, and that there remayned on board
the sayd frigott three of the sayd eighty nyne dutch men from the seaventh day of
the sayd moneth to the tenth thereof, during which tyme they were maynteyned
with the like allowance of victualls as the sayd ffrigotts company were, And
hee alsoe deposeth that whereas there was alsoe a shipp called the Orange
Tree a flyboate of Amsterdam taken by the sayd ffrigott and her company as prize the eighth of July
1653 hee deposeth that twelve dutchmen taken in the sayd [?XXXlys] boate
were meynteyned on board the said ffrigott with the same allowance
of victualls as the sayd frigotts company had, from the sayd eighth day of
July until the sixteenth day of the same All which hee the better knoweth
for that hee this deponent during the tyme of their soe being victualled on
board the sayd ffrigott, was steward of the sayd ffrigott./
