Transcription

sayd Melchiro de Aranguren the producent 700 weight of redd
wooll, And that the sayd De Baud and De La fitt did
their said Letters sent unto him the said Aranguren acquainte
him how the prices of wooll went in ffrance, and that (as
he beleiveth) every pound of the sayd wooll was then worth about
20 s sterling, And further to the sayd articel he cannot
depose./

To the third and fourth articles of the sayd allegation he
deposeth and saith That by reason of the freindshipp and
intimacy which then was and still is between him the
deponent and the arlate Aranguren the producent, he
the deponent had imparted unto him, and was from time
to time made acquainted with the Letters, which the sayd
Aranguren received from the sayd De Baud and De La
ffitt concerning the said wooll, And he deposeth that the
sayd Melchior de Aranguren did communicate a Letter
unto him the deponent in or about March last past or
the begining of Aprill, which Letter he had received
from the sayd De Baud and de La ffitt, wherein and
wherby they did suggest (as the best way in their
iudgement) the selling of the sayd woolls and investing
the proceed therof into Linnens, and they did by their
said Letters advise him the producent that there was there
then a holland shipp lading bound for Cadiz in
Spayne and those parts, and that if he the sayd Aranguren
approved thereof they thought it the best and most
convenient way to shipp the said Linnens for Cadiz
for his the sayd Arangurens account, And he deposeth
that he the deponent was consulted in the busines
by the sayd Aranguren, And that alsoe the sayd Letter
and Letters (some if not all) were communicated unto his
precontest Thomas Guzman (being alsoe an intimate
freind of the sayd producent) aswell as unto him the
deponent, And that the sayd De Aranguren did after
deliberation and advise had therin conclude that the said
woolls showld be sold and Linnens bought with the
proceed therof, and that the said Linnens showld be shipt
aboard the said holland shipp called the hare in the feild
to be transported to Cadiz for the account of him the
said Aranguren, The premisses he deposeth for that he was
advised and consulted with in the said busines by the said
Aranguren the producent, and hee imparted and communicated
unto him all or most of the Letters from the first to the last
and that the said Aranguren told this deponent that hee
would give order and directions to the said De Baud
and De La ffitt his Agents or Correspondents at [?Roanne GUTTER]
to the purpose predeposed, And further he cannot depose.
