the Said Le Bas his accompte And further cannot depose

To the 5th hee Saith That hee this exaiate was at Caen in france, when
the shipp upon Controversie sett saile from thence bound for Barfleur in
ffrance upon the voiage in question, in which hee hath since understood,
shee was taken and seized by some shipp or shipps of this Commonwealth
And further cannot depose

To the last hee Saith, his foregoing deposition is true

To the Crosse Interrogatories [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first hee saith, hee this rondent was borne at Norfolke in
England, And otherwise negatively to any part thereof

To the 2nd hee Saith hee this rondent Saw noe money paid for the
shipp in Controversie by the said Le Bas.

To the third hee refurreth to his foregoing deposition Saying that the said
le Bas hath lived in Minsing lane London ever since this rendent
?PXXro? to him as aforesaid, and saith hee is a frenchman borne and believeth?
hee cannot trade or live here without payeing of dueties to the City
and Commonwealth.

To the 4th hee saith, hee hath heard that the interrate Richard le
Bas had and hath a brother living at Caen in france And
otherwise cannot answer.

To the 5th hee Saith hee knoweth nothing as to the demannds of
this interrogatorie

The Clayme of Jaspar lorenzo Merchant of
Antwerpe for 3 Cerons of Cuchineale seized
in the shipp Salvador (Christian Cloppenburgh
Master) Suckley Budd

Examined upon an Allegacon given on the
20th of June 1655 and On the behalf of
the Said Lorenzo

Christian Cloppenburgh of Hamburgh
Mariner Master of the said shipp Salvador
aged 44 yeares or thereabouts a Wittnesse
sworne and examined Saith and deposeth as
followeth videlicet:

To the Said Allegation, and bill of lading therein menconed and now
seene and perused By this deposition (the same remaining in the Registry?
of this court) hee Saith and deposeth, that in or about the moneth
of July in the yeare 1652 and last past, ferdinando Nunez a Spaniard
Merchant living at Sevill in Spaine did from thence Send by a Barque?
and cause to Bee laden in and aboard this deponent Said Shipp the Salvador
then being in the bay of Cadiz in Spaine three Cerons of Cuchineale? GUTTER
for the accompt of the allate Jaspar lorenzo in whose name and
whose use and accompt this deponent signed three bills of lading GUTTER
[?one senor? one?] whereof hee Saith was and is the bill of lading remaining in the registry
seene and perused by this exaiate and Saith the contents thereof
