Transcription

dishonor action perpetrated bytge said Captaaine Peere to the
great dammage and detriment of the said producent, And
further, referring himselfe to the Acts and proceedings of this
Court concerning the matter in Controversy hee saith hee cannot
otherwise depose:-/

To the Crosse Interrogatories./ [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first hee saith, That hee this examinate cometh to declare the
trueth of his knowledge in this Cause at the instance and request
of ffrancisco Lorenzo de Lara the younger, sonne to the said producent
and hath no manner of concernment therein, And otherwise
negatively to any part thereof, saying hee neither geareth preiudice
nor expecteth any benefitt in the world by the event of this suite
whether it bee for or against the producent./

To the second hee knoweth not the interrate William Peere,
nor ever saw him so farr as hee remembreth/

To the third hee saith hee knoweth not whether hee were at
Mallega the time interrate or no, and did not see the said Peeres
arrivall there, nor ever spoake with him, so farr as hee knoweth
And saith hee this examinate speaketh English and Spanish and
well understand them both but what language the interrate
Peere speakes or understands hee saith hee knoweth not

To the 4th hee saith hee did not see the said Peere the time interrate
and saith hee never saw the bond interrate, And further cannot depose.

To the 5th hee saith, hee referreth himselfe to his foregoing deposition
And otherwise then negatively hee cannot depose./
