To the 12th hee saith, That hee
doeth not
remember nor hath heard of any such deviation or alteration of designs
as is interrate upon the grounds interrate, and beleeveth it no dishonorable
thing for a shipp of equall force to the Thomas Bonadventure to alter
their designe of there bee a visible apparence or strong probabilitie
of a much more potent enemy to encounter her/

To the 13. hee saith, hee knoweth not nor hath heard in what moneth in the yeare 1652 the
shipp Imployment interrate came from Cyprus, but beleeveth that
there was then a great danger of the Tripoly and french men of warr
as when the Thomas Bonadventure with the Convoy aforesaid
departed thence, or in the moneths of May or June 1652 interrate.

To the 14th hee saith the Currance taken in at Zant as aforesaid
were delivered with the rest of the said shipps lading at Porta fferrara
but to whom they were consigned, or by what Order unladen hee saith
hee knoweth not, but saith that the said shipp Thomas Bonadventure
brought in her for London a quantity of Currance to whom belonging
hee knoweth not, nor by whose direction, nor for what reason the other
Currance interrate were left behind.

To the 15th hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition. And further
cannot depose./

To the 16th hee saith hee hath not so deposed, And further knoweth not/

To the 17th hee saith hee knoweth nothing thereof

To the 18th hee saith hee knoweth not nor ever heard of any such
Protest as is interrate, but beleeveth it was possible for the said
ffowke and Chewne to make what protest they pleased without
this deponents privity for that hee was never in Company with
them ashoare at Cyprus./

To the 19th hee saith hee this rendent hath made three Voiages into
Turkey in two whereof hee bore no office, and in the last was Master Gunner
And as to the rest of the Contents of this Interrogatorie hee saith
hee knoweth nothing thereof./

To the 20th hee saith hee knoweth nothing thereof./

To the 21th hee saith, That hee this rendent did not take notice
of any particularly Merchants goods unladen out of the said shipp
the Thomas Bonadventure at Porta fferrara interrate, nor
knoweth of any freight payd for the same. And further cannot
depose,/
