Ad 5 arlum et [?XX] schedulam [?XXX] anned[?XX] deponit et dicit That after the said shipp
returned to England This deponent and the said Bowden and many of the arlate
shipps company were at the Windmill Taverne in the Old Jury London, where
they mett about accompts and paying the company their wages, and that then
and there some of the company found fault with him the said Bowden for
making away the shipps provision and there the said Bowden confessed and said
he made away none, but only sold a barrell of pease half a
barrell of Oatmeale a hogshead of syder and 600 and odd pounds of bread
and 20 li of powder Et alr nescit saving he beleeveth the said pease were then and there worth
fortie two shillings, and that the oatmeale was worth 17 s and that the
said Cyder was worth 45 s and that the said bread was then and there
worth 7 li 10 s and that the said 20 li of powder was worth 1 li 12 s. And he saith
that the said Bowden tooke up a hogshead of french wyne in the
Barbadoes and there spent it idly as this deponent beleeveth
for that he fdranck it on shipboard and did shoote off Gunns when there was
noe needed, and that he also spent 4 cases of strong waters unnecessarily
for that he had necessaries aboard if he had used them moderatly, and that the
said 4 cases were there worth in the Barbadoes 7 li Et alr nescit
