Scotia nauta annos 32 aut eo circiter
testis [?etcetera]
Ad 1um arlum [?XXX] ex parte Martinez set [?XXX] in hac
parte date et oblat dicit at deponere that within
the tyme arlate the arlate Joos van Colsen
was and at this present is owner of the
arlate shippe the Bruce and her tackle and
furniture, which hee knoweth to bee true
for that hee the said Colsten at his owne
chardges within the same tyme victualled
and sett forth the said shipp and constituted
this examinate Master of her.

but in regard of the warrs betwene Holland
and Spaine for coulor onely, this
examinate signed bills of ladeinge to
deliver the said goodes at Dover to Edward
Peters and Gerard Vautier, whereas in
truth hee was to deliver the same at
Roterdam as hee hath before declared, And
this hee affirmeth uppon his oath to bee
true, Et alre nescit./
