4 To the 4th they and each of them answereth and believeth
that the goods and merchandizes seized in the said ship
by the said Sedgwick were all or the greatest parte
of the the growth and manufactory of ffrance, and
they were laden on board by the ffactors and Correspondents
of them the said Arnold and Elias Beake at or neere
the port of Bayon as they believe but what Countryman
borne their said ffactor was they doe not knowe but
doe believe hee may be a frenchman or dutchman a
subiect of the ffrench kinge
5 To the 5th they answere that they believe the same
to be true that the said Vessell and goods were taken
about March 1653 ad believe they have had very
great iniury that the said ship and goods beinge soe longe
since taken the same were never brought to any adiu
-dication or triall accordinge to Lawe but were carried
away and the goods being of the value of about
three thousand pounds sould and disposed by the said
Sedgwick and his accomplices at their owne will an dpleasure
such Acts being contrary to all Law and Equity and
destructive to all trade and Commerce, as they believe
