not above as hee beleeveth and about 400
pricks of Tobaccoe and noe more and
about seaventy Chests of sugar and
about eight pipes of Molasses noe more And other
wise for his parte hee doeth not beleeve
the said position to bee true in any parte

To the 10th pretensed position hee answereth and
accepteh the Contents of this
position soe farre as the same doe
make for him and not otherwise and
hee beleeveth that upon the 5th of Septem
ber 1649 the said shippe the Roebucke
set saile from Perrawe aforesaid with
the said sugars and Tobaccoes onboard
her towards Lisborne and in her course
thither the said shipp and her ladeing
were taken by a fleete of shipps under
the Command of Prince Rupert upon
the 18th of November 1649 And other=
wise for his parte hee doeth not beleeve the
said position to bee true in any parte thereof

To the 11th pretensed position hee answereth and
beleeveth that hee this Rendent and the
merchants freighters had onboard the
said shippe att the time of her seizure
for theire owne proper Accounts the value
of 13000 li worth of goods or thereabouts and alsoe the
freight of the rest of the said shipps ladeing
which must have come to the said
merchants in case the same had come
safe home would have amounted to
1500 li more and this rendent further
beleeveth that a great part of the said
shipps ladeing did belonge to Subiects
of the Kinge of Portugall And otherwise
