  • Insert immediately after the sentence or phrase you wish to annotate the following macro:<ref>This is the footnote text</ref>
  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

Transcription

To the third position of the said pretended
libell he answereth and doth not
beleeve the same to be true in any parte
thereof./

To the fourth position of the said
pretended libell he amswereth and
accepteth the contents thereof soe
farr forth as they make for him
and referreth himselfe to the lawe
and otherwise he doth not beleeve
the said pretended position to bee
true in any parte thereof./

To the fifth he answereth that he
doth beleeve the schedule arlate
was de facto subscribed and sealed
with the proper hand and seale of the
arlate Thomas Mullenox. And
otherwise he doth not beleeve the
said pretended position to be true in

To the sixt position he answereth and
beleeveth that the arlate shippe hath
performed and ended the voyage
arlate and was and is returned,
