provide eighty men upon his owne Account
for what hee was to have from this re=
spondent upon the proceed and proffitt of
the said voyadge did as hee beleeveth upon
that Account hire the arlate Jefferson and
Stubbs but upon what Termes or for
what this Rendent knoweth not what to
beleeve in regard hee was neither concer
ned therein bnor was acquainted therewith
And this Rendent beleeveth that the said
Jefferson and Stubbs did both of them ut
credit goe in the said shippe to Greenland
but not returne backe againe in the shipp
arlate And otherwise for his parte hee doeth
not beleeve the said position to bee true
in any parte thereof Saveing this rendent
beleeveth the schedule arlate to bee defacto
subscibed with the proper hand writeing
of the arlate Bellamy but since his re=
turne home but doeth not beleeve it is
the agreement which the said Nellamy
subscribed before his goeing to Sea
in the said voyadge to the said Stubbs and
Jefferson
To the third pretended position hee answe
reth and beleeveth that the said shipp the
Giles did safely arrive and come from
Greenland arlate with severall quantities
of oiles ffin and other Comoditiies
and this Rendent beleeveth that hee after
the returne of the said goods in the said shipp
did receave the same or the maine parte
into his possession and upon the receipt
thereof did accordeing to his Contract
ut credit made with the said Bellamy
deliver unto him and pay by his order
