delivered the said Letter which hee brought from
the said Gold Coast directed to the said ffrancis
to the said Robert Hooper and thereuppon
by virtue of the said Letter they demanded
the Negroes of this rendent who deliverd
the same Negroes beinge 139 to the said
Hooper Fryer [?Lucum] and
ffoord all which fower persons came abord
this rendents ship and gave this rendant a
receipte for the same under all theire fower
hands and hee beleeveth that every Negro of
the negroes arlate brought by this
rendant was att the Barbados arlate worth
a thousand pound of Sugar every thousand pound of the said sugar beinge of thevalew of 12 li 10 s sterling and noe more as hee
beleeveth, and hee beleeveth that those that
this rendant brought thither might and
could have bin sld for the same rate, but how
or what rates the same were sold for this
rendant cannot tell or know certainely what
to beleeve, the sellinge and disposition of the
same beinge in the said Hooper ffryer
[?Lucum] and fford who as hee beleeveth
made sale thereof and otherwise hee doth
not beleeve this pretensed position to be true in
any part thereof.

that hee doth not beleeve this pretensed position

To the 18th pretensed position hee answereth
that after the arrivall of the ship arlate
from Guiney att the Barbados arlate the
