Biographical synthesis
Gowen Paynter [alt. Painter] (b. ca. 1605; d. ca. 1661)
Correspondent and agent of London merchant John Page in 1654, based in Teneriff (XXXX). Later a London merchant (e.g. in 1658).[1]
Gowen Paynter's daughter, Katherine, married John Page, the former apprentice of Gowen Paynter, by early 1651. They had a son, Gowin, born in 1652.[2]
