Preparing training methods and materials
- 21/08/12 - ongoing: Following a discussion on Monday afternoon at the kickoff meeting, Jill Wilcox has taken lead developing a training approach for the four Westminster School project associates (Jill)
- 03/09/12 (TBC): Tentative plan to set up a 1.5 hour training session at Westminster School on Monday 3rd September, probably late p.m., or early evening (TBC - Colin to speak to Dr Catherine Buchanan, Westminster School history teacher and MarineLives project advisor to discuss) (Colin)
- Associated tentative idea is for three of our facilitators (or as many as possible) to be at this training, and to take an hour before or after the training, to continue to coordinate our activities, and to meet as a group for the first time (Colin, Jill, William)
Testing training methods and materials
- 24/08/12: Jill Wilcox and Colin Greenstreet to meet new project associates Ian Cowley and David Pashley at the National Archives Kew at 10.30 a.m. (main entrance, foyer) (Colin; Jill)
- Show them the physical HCA 13/71 volume
- Conduct basic palaeographical training (Colin to find a room via Jo Pugh)
- Ideally meet a National Archives palaeographical expert and/or legal expert (good for Colin and Jill as longer term contacts and support, as well as helpful for training of Ian and David)
- Have lunch in the cafe with them

I have started trying to check this, but have to keep scrolling down and back up. Would it be possible to get the transcription in a window that you can scroll down as you read so that you can have the transcription and the original on the page at the same time? Jill
