the non-payment of the said moneyes due unto him as aforesaid, hath in this
deponents Hudgemtnt suffered dammage to the valew of fourtie or fiftie shillings
hee being a Tradesman in whose occupation soe much ready money to bee
employed to the best advantae might very well produce in such a time a [?more GUTTER]

To the 8th hee saith hee rferreth himselfe to the proceedings of this Court:-/

To the 9th hee saith, That the arlate John Edge and Companie were and
are commonly accompted Englishmen Subjects of this Commonwealth and to the
Jurisdiction of this Court. And further hee cannot depose.

Block=maker aged 21. yeares or thereabouts a
Wittnesse sworne and examined saith as followeth videlicet.

To the first article hee saith, hee this deponent very well knoweth the shipp the
Reliefe arlate, whereof the arlate John Edge was Commanderin the
monethes of January ffebruary and March 1654. and in March 1655.
the said John Edge for all that time haveing the Care Command and the
govvernment of her, as was publique and notorious at Rederith and other parts
