was Cleered from the ''John'', and left the ''John'' at [XXX ANCHOR]<br />
there in bextwixt foure and five fathoms water, in [?safety GUTTER]<br />
and the ''Mary Rose'' sailed on her Course, and never<br />
touched nor came neere the ''John'' after the said [XXX GUTTER]<br />
And saith that all the damage that came to the ''John''<br />
aforesaid was onely the cutting of one of her Lanyards<br />
(soe farr as this Deponent could perceive) which was<br />
not worth two shillings in this Deponents Judgement<br />
And saith that when the ''John'' came fould of the ''Mary''<br />
''Rose'' as aforesaid, the ''Mary Rose'' was neerest the [XXX GUTTER]<br />
and soe Continued all the time, they were fould of each<br />
other, and the Stearne of the ''Mary Rose'' Did then<br />
touch the Ground, and there was in great danger of<br />
Perishin; but by the Care and Great Paines of<br />
her Company shee got off, and left the ''John''at<br />
Anchor in safety as aforesaid. And this hee knoweth<br />
for the reasons aforesaid And further cannot depose
To the 6.th hee saith the ''Mary Rose'' did not the sayd<br />
time (soe farr as this Deponent could Perceive dragg<br />
home the Anchor of the ''John'', neither could shee in [XXXX GUTTER]<br />
soe doe, there being but little wind and a slack [XXXX GUTTER]<br />
and saith hee never heard the Master or any of the [?Company GUTTER]<br />
of the ''John'' call to or desire the Master or Company of the<br />
''Mary Rose'', to let fall an Anchor or any words to [?that GUTTER]<br />
Purpose, and saith as afiresaid that the ''Mary Rose''<br />
left the ''John'' Ryding at Anchor in safety in [?betweene GUTTER]<br />
foure and five fathoms water, and that if afterwards<br />
shee came ashore or Miscarryed, the same happened<br />
not by any fault Carelessnes negligence or [??wilfulnes GUTTER]<br />

''John'' had bin a Strong ship, and her Master and<br />
