out of the said van lynens said cabbin into the said frigot, and the same was donne<br />
accordingly of this deponents sight and knowledge, and then with the said frigot<br />
carried the said shipp ''Saint Mary'' and the said van lynens said other goods and<br />
all the rest of the shipps cargo to Thulon, and, and [?out]ed and dispossessed the said<br />
van lynen of his said plate money and goods and of all the rest of the said cargo,<br />
of this deponents sight and knowledge seeing the premisses and being carried<br />
to Thulon in the said shipp ''Saint Mary'', where hee and all the company were<br />
turned out of her ashore by Captaine Stokes his order as hee saith, And<br />
further deposeth not.
To the sixth hee saith that the said plate goods and money soe by<br />
him deposed to be laden by the said von lynen, were for the said van lynens<br />
owne account, who runneth the adventure thereof. And further hee cannot<br />
depose.
To the seaventh hee saith the said van lynen is commonly reputed to be borne<br />
not farr from hamborow, and at Amsterdam and hamborow this deponent<br />
hath knowne him liveing with his wife and familia all the said eight yeeres<br />
of this deponents knowledge of him, of which hee hath dwelt with his wife<br />
and famili[?a] about two yeeres last at Amsterdam, and is thereby subject<br />
to the States of the United Netherlands. And further saving as aforesaid<br />
hee cannot depose.

To the first hee saith hee hath noe share or interest in the money, plate<br />
or goods claimed in this cause, and that hee was aboard and boatswaine of<br />
the said shipp the ''Saint Mary'' at the time of her seizure aforesaid, and is a native<br />
subiect of Stral[?a]sund, and when hee is not at sea useth to lodge (being a[?n]<br />
batchelour) at Amsterdam and hath soe donne for severall yeeres last, but<br />
is most frequently at sea, and otherwise negatively.
To the second hee saith hee first knew the said van lynen at Hamborow<br />
and saith hee is a maried man and hath bin for all the said time of this<br />
deponents knowledge of him, and hath now his wife and familie[?a] living in<br />
Amsterdam, and never lived in Antwerp since this deponents said knowledge<br />
of him, and otherwise hee referreth imselfe to his foregoeing deposition.
To the third hee saith that the said shipp before Santa domingo had the Spanish<br />
flagg out and a further Prince of Oranges flagge and streamer. and a<br />
flagg which the master had in a fr[ancce] shipp, and otherwise hee cannot answer<br />
saving as aforesaid.
To the fourth hee saith hee saw the said van lynen at Amsterdam severall times<br />
and a good space before the said shipps proceeding thence on the said voyage, and<br />
saw him lade the said stuffs, hatts, [XXXers], [XXXXes], knives and other goods for<br />
his owne account, and this deponent saw them all in his [XXXX XXXXX] in his owne [XXXXXX] before<br />
such their bringing aboard, and saw such their bringing aboard from his<br />
said house, And further saving as aforesaid hee cannot depose.
To the 5th hee saith hee was not present nor saw the buying of the said plate<br />
or goods, not payment made for the same, nor knoweth of whom they were<br />
bought, and saith hee was present ashore, and saw the said van lynen deliver<br />
some of his said lynnen, hatts and other goods of his owne at a shopp in Santa domingo<br />
which hee beleeveth were for trucke of some of the said goods [XX XXXX] [?soe] there<br />
obtained for his account, and otherwise hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing<br />
deposition.
To the 6th hee cannot depose, but referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition.
