Lott to the King of Persia as his subiects in behalfe<br />

any of the King of Spaines dominions nor heard that ever hee<br />
paid any taxes to the King of Spaine or his officers as a subiect<br />
of the sayd King of Spaine And further hee cannot answere./

Abassa in Asia minor but now living in<br />
London aged twenty three yeares or thereabouts<br />
awittnesse sworne and examined saith and<br />
deposeth as followeth videlicet./
To the first second and third articles of the sayd allegation he<br />
saith that hee this deponent was when hee was a child of about<br />
tenn yeares of age taken a slave by the Turkes and by them<br />
sold to one Antonio Bogns an Armenian Merchant who<br />
inhabited at Smyrna and was farmer of the Customes there [?for]<br />
the Grand Segnior or Emperour of the Turkes with which Antonio<br />
hee this deponent lived the space of nyne yeares ended about<br />
three yeares since, in which tyme of nyne yeares hee did<br />
see and observe that the arlate Lazaro Armenio did frequent<br />
the [?Srale] or Towne of Smyrna aforesayd as an Armenian<br />
Merchant in the Company of other Armenian Merchants as<br />
also traded thither as the sayd Lazaro alsoe did with goods from<br />
Persia And thereby well knoweth that the sayd Lazaro was<br />
at Smyrna commonly accompted and reputed to be a subiect<br />
of the King of Persia as a trader thence to Smyrna as<br />
a Merchant Stranger And further to these articles he can<br />
not depose./.
To the 4th and 5th articles saving his foregoing deposition<br />
hee cannot depose, knowing nothing touching the Cutcheneale<br />
arlate./
To the last hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true./

To the first Interrogatorie hee saith Smirna was all the places that<br />
ever hee sawe the sayd Lazero at during the foresayd nyne yeares<br />
saving his foregoing deposition he cannot answere./
To the 2 Interrogatorie hee saith hee this rendent was borne in Abassa in<br />
