To the 4th hee saith hee heard his sayd Ma … To the 4th hee saith hee heard his sayd Master Jeremie Cott since the sayd<br />
nayles and Iron worke delivered demand of severall of the Owners of the<br />
sayd shipp the ''Minories'' the summe of sixe pounds two shillings three pence<br />
for the sayd nayles and Iron worke, whodid acknowledge that the same were<br />
receaved and imployed to the use of the sayd shipp and sayd they had payed<br />
the sayd Captaine ffernes for them, and wished this deponents sayd Master to<br />
goe to him the sayd fferenes for the same, And to the rest of the article hee<br />
saith hee referreth him selfe to the Registry of this Court and cannot<br />
depose further to this article saving hee saith it appeareth by this deponents sayd<br />
Masters booke (which hee hath lately seene, and beleeveth to be true) that the<br />
sayd 6 ''li'' - 2 ''s'' - 3 ''d'' nor any part thereof is yet paid/
To the 5th hee beleeveth the sayd Cott and others the complainants in this<br />
suie are damnified by the non payment of their money which they might have made profitt of in their trades but to what<br />
value hee knoweth not And further to this article hee cannot depose/
To the last hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true./

50 yeares or thereabouts a wittnes sworne and examined saith<br />
and deposeth as followeth videlicet
To the first second and third articles of the sayd libell shee saith that<br />
shee this deponent liveth in howse whereof the arlate Jeremia Cotts shopp is a part and shee<br />
hath done for these 14 or 15 yeares shee being Landlady of the sayd Cotts shopp<br />
and by reason of her soe being in howse the sayd Cott doth usually imploy<br />
this deponent to sett downe such wares as hee delivereth out and are<br />
bought of him for the use of shipps (hee being an Anchor Smith) and<br />
by this meanes shee well knoweth that in the moneths of July August<br />
and September one thousand sixe hundred fiftie three there were delivered to the arlate Mr Keech (who was<br />
then reputed to be Master of the arlate shipp the ''Minories'') for the use of<br />
the sayd shipp nayles and other Iron worke amounting to the value<br />
of sixe pounds two shillings three pence sterling which nayles and Iron<br />
worke this deponent entred into thesayd Cott's booke as sold at that<br />
rate, and sawe the sayd Iron worke weighed and the sayd nayles and it delivered<br />
to the sayd Keech at severall tymes within the moneths aforesayd And<br />
further to these articles shee cannot depose./
