meaning and speaking of the sayd shipp the … meaning and speaking of the sayd shipp the ''Salvador'' Christian<br />
Cloppenburgh Master. for which cause and for that he this<br />
deponent hath seene two bills of lading for eleven baggs of<br />
wooll for the Accompt and Risqe of the sayd Blaes da La Pina ?being<br />
firmed with the handwriting of the sayd Christian and annexed<br />
to the allegation whereon he is now examined, and one in the Registry of<br />
this Court upon the file of bills of Lading sent into the<br />
Court by the Captaine that seized the sayd shipp and both of one<br />
and the same tenor, he is firmly induced to beleive that the sayd<br />
Blaze da La Pina was and is the Lawfull Owner of the eleven<br />
baggs of woolls now claymed and that he did lade them aboard the<br />
sayd shipp Salvador for his owne Accompt by himselfe or factors<br />
to be transported to Ostend and there delivered for the same Accompt<br />
and that the sayd Christian Cloppenburgh did signe three bills of<br />
lading for the same all of one tenor according to the usuall Custome<br />
and beleiveth that the sayd shipp in her Course from Cadiz to Ostend<br />
was seized by the arlate Penrose or some other Captaine in one of<br />
the frigots of this Commonwealth, and that the sayd woolls thereby came<br />
to his possession. And further cannot depose saving he saith that of<br />
his certayne knowledge the arlate Blaes da La Pina is a Spaniard<br />
a subiect of the King of Spayne a merchant Inhabitant of Sevill<br />
in Spayne and that he hath bene 30 yeares and upwards, and<br />
was and is a merchant of good ranke using to trade betweene<br />
Spaine and fflanders, and for and as such was and is<br />
commonly accounted reputed and taken.

of Sevill and there hath lived with his family [STRUCK THROUGH: ten yeares and<br />
upwards] And further cannot depose.
To the 4. he saith he knoweth nothing thereof, nor can depose any<br />
otherwise than as aforesd

signe the sayd bills of lasing.
