in ditione Suiciter, aetatis 43 annorum aut<br />
eo circiter in preparatorio examinatus, deponit<br />
ut sequitur videlicet.
That in or about the moneth of<br />
November last past Mr Samuel Schaum and this deponent both Burgers<br />
and natives of Stettin amd subiect sof the King of Sweden wrote<br />
and gave order to their factor Valerius Roever at Amsterdam to buy<br />
them for their account a shipp of the burthen of 50 lasts or thereabouts.<br />
which hee effecting and writing them word thereof, they paid him<br />
by exchange therefore amounting to one thousand Rix dollars, and<br />
though they desired to fetch her thence assoone as they could, they were<br />
hindered by the Armies about Bremen that they could not passe<br />
thether untill about August last, at which time thsi deponent with<br />
company which hee hired at Stettin passed thence by land for Amsterdam<br />
to fetch her, this deponent being to goe Master of her, for accompt<br />
of himselfe owner of one quarter part, and the said Samuel Schaum<br />
owner of the other three quarters, and besides them hee saith that<br />
none other person whatsoever either hollander dane or ffrenchman<br />
or subiect of or dwelling in those dominions or other hath any<br />
part or share in her, And coming to Amsterdam and having by<br />
the Meanes of the Swedish Embassadour at the hague got leave<br />
