they were come onboard they unarmed the ''Henrietta''<br />
''Marias'' Company and ransacked the said ffrigot and<br />
tooke away the money out of her and stripped this Deponent<br />
and all or most of her Company which were then in he and beate many of them and<br />
tooke their moneyes from them and turned them onshore<br />
and possessed themselves of the said ffrigot and what money<br />
and goods shee had in her, and by order of Captaine Barker carried her away and this Deponent hath since<br />
heard that shee is at Plymouth. And further deposeth<br />
not./.
To the 9th hee saith that at the time of the said seizure<br />
there was on board the said ffrigott ''Henrietta Maria''<br />
in the Captaines Chest about 380: ''li'' sterling which came<br />
to the hands of the said seizor, and saith that hee verily<br />
beleeveth that the said seizor tooke from the Mariners<br />
of the said Frigot about 200. ''li'' Sterling in moneyes, beside<br />
their Cloathes and necessaryes, which amounted to a good value<br />
but how much hee cannot Estimate, And saith that there<br />
was alsoe on board the said ffrigot, which came to the hands<br />
of the said Seizor[?s] Cables, Ropes, Halsers, Anchors Plunder Armes,<br />
Ammunition, Provision, and such like things which amounted<br />
to a greate Vallue, but howe much hee Cannot Estimate<br />
And further cannot Depose./:
To the 10.th and the schedule therein mentioned now read over by him hee saith that<br />
the schedule was and is true to the best of his knowledge and was really subscribed<br />
by the Major and other Persons of Swansey (all well knowne to<br />
this Deponent) in the presence of him this Deponent on or about<br />
the daye of the Date thereof And further Deposeth not:/
To the 11.th hee saith that after the foresaid masters mate and<br />
the men that hee brought with him as a foresaid had ransaked<br />
and broke open the Chests and boxes which were in the said<br />
ffrigot, this Deponent tooke the foresaid Originall Commission and<br />
was about to shew it to the said Mate, and hee tooke it away<br />
from this Deponent and kept the same and turned this<br />
Deponent ashore. And further cannot depose.
