certaine Interrogatories given in on the behalfe of John Newland<br />
saith and deposeth as followeth videlicet:/.
To the first Interrogatorie hee saith hee did very well knowe the Interrate<br />
Benjamin Clarke in the moneth of Aprill 1656 and for severall<br />
moneths before; and that in the said moneth of Aprill hee the said<br />
Benj: Clarke: was in bodyly health, and did then (and severall moneths:<br />
after) Execute the place and Office of Purser of the ''Bridgewater''<br />
''ffrigott'' then in service of this Commonwealth, And the sayd Clarke Continued<br />
in good bodily health, untill the moneth of January last, in which<br />
moneth hee fell sick, and continued sick, untill the 6th of ffebruary<br />
last on which day hee dyed, and was on the next day buryed on the Coast of<br />
Portugall, All the Premisses hee deposeth being stewards Mate<br />
of and aboard the said ffrigott;/
