'''Augustin Costa''' of Genoa (but now dwelling at Santa Cruse) Merchant aged nineteene<br />
yeares or thereabouts sworne and examined.
To the first second and third articles of the said allegation hee<br />
saith and deposeth that hee well knoweth the producent<br />
ffrancis Pardini, and hath soe donne for the space of a yeare<br />
last or thereabouts, and alsoe well knoweth the<br />
arlate John Andrea Ayrardo, which John Andrea did as<br />
hee saith about foure monethes since lade and cause to be laded<br />
aboard the shipp the ''two brothers'' William [XXXXXX] master at Santa Cruse for<br />
account of him selfe and the said ffrancis pardini twelve pipes<br />
of Canarie wines, of the first marke in the margent, and<br />
two of the second marke and one hundred and seventie peeces<br />
of Campatch or log wood, which hee knoweth being present<br />
and seeing the said lading and assisting in the same, hee being<br />
as hee saith servant to the said Ayrardo, and that about a<br />
moneth or six weekes next before, there were (as hee was credibly<br />
informed) nine other pipes of Canarie wines marked with<br />
the third marke in the margin laded at Oratavo for the said account aboard the<br />
shipp the ''Saint Lawrence'', and this deponent being servant as<br />
aforesaid to the said Ayrardo, and using to write in the Count[ing]<br />
house of the said Ayardo, at Santa Cruse did [XXX] entrie make<br />
in his booke of the letter whereby hee ordered the lading for<br />
the said nine pipes at Oratavo, and afterwards s[?awe]<br />
the bill of lading for the same, and brought the said bill and<br />
alsoe the bill for the said wines and Companye [?were] soe [?laded]<br />
at Santa Crise along with him in the said shipp the ''Two''<br />
''brothers'', wherein hee was sent by his said master to come<br />
to this port (to which the said shipps were bound with the<br />
