Examined upon the libell and schedule thereto annexed
'''William Creeke''' of Wapping in the parish of<br />
Stepney and County of Middlesex Mariner Purser<br />
of the sayd shipp ''John and Mary'' aged 32 yeares<br />
or thereabouts a witnes sworne and examined saith<br />
and deposeth as followeth videlicet.
To the first article of the libell hee saith and deposeth that during all the<br />
tyme arlate videlicet in the moneth of January ffebruary and March 1651 and<br />
March Aprill ay June July August September October November<br />
December January ffebruary and march 1652 and March Aprill May<br />
June July and August 1653 the arlate Elliott Thorowgood Mordent<br />
and Langley were and are Commonly reputed and Accompted lawfull Owners<br />
of the shipp the ''John and Mary'' arlate, and of this deponents knowledge<br />
as owners thereof did in the moneth of January 1651 fitt furnish and set<br />
forth the sayd shipp to sea to sayle on a voyage from the Port of London to Ginney<br />
and from there to the Barbadoes and soe back to London The premisses<br />
hee knoweth being Purser of the sayd shipp during the whole voyage<br />
aforesayd And otherwise saving his subsequent depositions to which<br />
hee referreth hee cannot depose/
