aged 33 yeares or thereabouts sworne as<br />
in the acts of Court, and examined upon<br />
certaine Interrogatories ministred unto him on the behalfe<br />
of the State saith and deposeth as followeth, videlicet.
To the first Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth that hee gave order and<br />
direction to ffrancis da Coninck of Roane to buy and procure for him<br />
this deponent theise linnens which hee now claimeth<br />
and to consigned the same to be delivered to Philip de Pape at Ostend<br />
for his this deponents owne accompt.
To the second hee saith it is not contracted or any monies agreed or understood<br />
by or betweene him this examinate and the said ffrancis da Connick that<br />
what linnens or goods the said ffrancis da Conninck shall send into<br />
fflanders to or for this deponent, shall untill the landing thereof<br />
in fflanders be upon the account or adventure of him the said ffrancis<br />
da Conninck, or that hee shall beare te losse thereof in case of<br />
miscarriage, but saith that such goods and linnens as the said<br />
ffrancis shall at any time send by this deponents order as hee did<br />
the linnens in question, this deponent is to beare the adventure thereof<br />
from the very time of their buying and lading<br />
albeit they doe not arive in safetie, but be cast away or otherwise<br />
miscarry, and soe hee ran the adventure of the linnen in question.
