Examined upon the foresaid libell.

Edward ffell servant and Apprentice to John Parker of the
parish of Stepney in the County of Middlesex Scrivener aged 19
yeares or thereabouts sworne and examined.

To the first second third fourth and fifth article sof the said libell hee
saith and deposeth that hee well knoweth the producent
Richard hammond and the arlate George (sic) Carey, which George
Carey hee saith was and is commonly accompted and reputed the master
of the shipp called the Sisters of Ipswich; and [END OF STRIKING OUT]

perpetuall remembrance concerning certaine stormes}
happened to the Saint Jacob of Lubeck, Evert}
Penning master. Suckley. francklyn:}

Examined upon the allegation given in
on the behalfe of the said Penning
and company.

Peter Winter of Lubeck Mariner, aged 46 yeares
or thereabouts sworne and examined.

To the first article hee saith and deposeth that in the moneth of September
last past the said shipp the Saint Jacob (Evert Pening master) was at or in
the port of Lieba on the coast of Pomerland; And while shee was soe
there remayneing, namely on or about the twelveth day of the said moneth
of September last (the winde then blowing at West Nor-West),
there happened a very greate and violent storme, which continued two
dayes and nights space together in greate extremitie, and that by the
violence and force thereof the sayd shipps boate was [?sheered] and
carried away, and utterly lost to the owners thereof, and the shipp
herselfe was inextreame danger of being cast away, together with
the said master and company, who were in danger to loose their lives
notwithstanding all their care and diligence and continuall labour and
watching for the said [?space], which hee knoweth being one of the
said shipps company and then and there present on board.
