Examined upon the Allegation and Schedule

in Brabant Merchant aged 24
yeares or thereabouts sworne and examined:-/

To the first article of the said Allegation and schedule annexed hee saith and
deposeth, That hee very well knoweth the producent James Pinquett
a Merchant of Antwerp, and hath soe knowne him for all the time
allate to bee the Owner and true Proprietor of all the moneyes and
plate expressed in the said schedule, Videlicet Eight baggs of silver No.1
to 8. each containing five hundred peices of eight Mexico Coyne for the
accompt and adventure of the said Pinquett laden by Pieter Jansen de

Yonghe, the said baggs being marked with the first marke in the marghent
Two baggs of silver for the same accompt laden by ffrancis de La Sierpe
contayning each of them five hundred pieces of eight old and New

Perusche monet of the second marke in Margent, And six barrettons

or peeces of silver marked with the third marke in Margent, containing
One hundred and five Markes and eight Ounces of Silver, laden by
the said ffrancis de La Sierpe for the accompt of the said producent, and
Six baggs of money, five whereof contained each five hundred
newe Patacones of Peru money, and the 6th contained 250. peeces of

eight of Mexico Coyne marked with the 4th marke in margent and Two baggs of silver weighingh 93
markes three ounces and a halfe marked with the fifth marke in the
Margent laden by Peter Jansen de Yonghe aboard the shipp the Saint John
Evangelist for the same accompt, And saith that the said James Pinquett
was and is commonly and generally reputed to be the onely and true
Proprietor of the plate and money predeposed. All which hee deposeth
for that hee this deponent about ten weekes since did receive a letter of
Advise with the bills of lading annexed and now shewed unto him [?XXXXX]
therein from the said James Pincquett, mentioning and particulari[?zing]
the silver money and markes predeposed, And Otherwise saving his
following depositions, hee cannot depose:-/

To the second and 3d and the schedules annexed thereunto hee saith and deposeth That hee verily beleeveth, The [?XXX]
to the tenor and contents of the said schedules now showne unto himm the silver
and moneyes predeposed were by the said Peter Janson de Yonghe and
ffrancis de La Sierpe factors to the said producent laden abard the ship
the John Evangelist at Cadiz, John de Vos Master, in or about the
moneth of Aprill last past for the proper accompt of the said Jaques
Pincquett, And that the arlate John de Vos Master of the said
shipp the Saint John Evangelist did signe and firme to the said bills
