Transcription

To the 8th Interrogatorie hee saith hee knoweth nothing thereof saving his
foregoeing depositions to which hee referreth./

To the 9th hee saith hee knoweth nothing thereof.

To the 10th hee saith, That upon or about the 16th day of May 1652.
interrate, the said shipp Thomas Bonadventure was fully laden in her hold,
and the steaving geare was carried on shoare, but by order of the said
Richard Chewne was againe brought aboard expresselly for the steaving of
cotton woolls into the fore-peake of the said shipp, and for so doing the said
Chewne promised the said shipps Companie a hogshead of wyne, which
upon that consideration hee performed and this rendent particpated thereof.
And saith, That the said shipp Bonadventure touching at Zant in her
passage homewards, the said Richard Chewne being aboard her, caused
there a quantitie of Currans, as by this examinate is predeposed to bee laden
aboard the said shipp, And saith hee beleeveth the interrate shipp Richard
and William was laden and neere readie to have sett saile from Cyprus at or before the 16th
day of May aforesaid, And further hee knoweth not./

To the 11th hee saith, the said shipp Thomas Bonadventure remained,
as hee remembreth, at Cyprus about 10. dayes after shee had received
her full lading And further cannot depose./

To the 12th hee saith, the said shipp Thomas Bonadventure sailed from
Cyprus with the Convoy aforesaid to Zant and Cefalonia interrate
where shee remained about 12. daies, as hee now remembreth, And further
hee cannot depose./

To the 13th hee saith that as hee remembreth and beleeveth no English shipp or shipps departed from
Zant or Cephalonia interrate during the time the said Thomas
Bonadventure and Convoy aforesaid remained there as aforesaid/

To the Interrogatories exhibnited the 14th of december 1654:- [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first hee saith, hee beleeveth this rendents Master received all
the wages due to this rendent, for and upon the Voyage in Controversy, and
hath heard severall of the said shipps Company acknowledge that they alsoe were
payd their wages at Porta ferrara And otherwise saving his foregoing
deposition, to which hee referreth, hee cannot answer./

To the 2. hee saith hee knboweth nothing thereof./

To the 3. hee saith, hee this rendent served in the said shipp Thomas
Bonadventure when shee was in the service of this Commonwealth, and
that his Master for such service had 30. shillings a moneth, And further
cannot depose./

To the 4th hee saith hee was at Porto Longoone interrate at such time as
that place was blocked up by the dutch, but remembreth not the
time when the said dutch shipps withdrew from thence/

To the 5th hee saith hee hath knowne the interrate Roger ffowke onely
the Voyage in Controversie, And further cannot depose./
