Examined upon the said Allegation:-/

5./

Roger Morris of Crutched ffryers London Cooper
aged 48 yeares or thereabouts a Wittnesse sworne and
examined saith and declareth as followeth videlicet:-

To the 7th article of the said Allegation hee saith and deposeth, That hee this
deponent well saw and onserved (being thererunto espeially employed by Mr Robert
Rich Merchant of this City of London) that severall shipps or vessells by
name the Mary, the hoveling, the Flgagg of Truro and the Cooke were
taken seized and brought up to the Cowes in the Isle of Wight by the allate
Captaine Stanton by Vertue of Commission of Reprizall from the high Court of Admiraltie
of England, and that this deponent by order of the said Robert Rich did unlade
and helpe and was assistant at the dischargeing of the said severall shipps ladeing or most part thereof
at the Cowes aforesaid, which was bout the moneths of January ffebruary
and March in the yeare 1651 according to the English stile, where this deponent
saw and was severall times aboard the shipp or man of warr called the Elizabeth
whereof the said Captaine Stanton was Commannder And thereby had and hath
good and assured knowledge of what by him is predeposed. And further
cannot depose./

To the 11th and schedule therein mentioned and now read unto this deponent hee saith
and deposethm That

To the 12th and 13th hee saith and deposeth, That during the time that this deponent
was employed at the Cowes as aforesaid by the said Robert Rich for [?XXX GUTTER]
