Transcription

Marseilles in Company of this deponent and Martin Holst aforesayd
and heard them say that the sayd goods were for the Accompt of the
producents. But saith he knoweth that they had any effects in their
hands of the producents, not did this deponent know that they he sayd
ffactors bought the same or payd any money for the same, neyther doth
he know whether or noe any bill of lading were signed for the
sayd goods or any of them. and otherwise referring himselfe to his
foregoeing depositions he cannpt depose.

To the 14. negatively to every part thereof.

To the 15. he saith he is a native and Inhabitant of Hamburgh, and
hath some wearing apparrell aboard the sayd shipp which he hopes
to have restored to him. and otherwise negatively.

To the .16. he saith the sayd shipp begann her outward voyage from
Hamburgh neere upon three yeares agoe. and her lading was
Oates, peice goods, tin, lead, Iron and other goods of which a
good quantity was upon the Accompt of John and George Scothering
aforesayd. and further he cannot depose.

To the .17. he saith all the sayd outward bound goods were taken in att
Hamburgh, and not att Amsterdam. and otherwise knoweth not to
depose

of Limmerick in Ireland, and of William ffaggan}
merchant of Corke in Ireland for their sylver}
in the shipp the Saint Peter whereof Cornelius}
Jacob Seyl was master in fact taken and surprized}
by the shipp the Handmaid whereof}

Examined upon an allegation on the behalfe
of the sayd Claymers.

Thomas Martin of Galloway in Ireland merchant
aged five and twenty yeares or thereabouts a
witnes sworne and examined deposeth and saith as
followeth videlicet.

To the first second third and fourth articles of the sayd allegation This deponent
saith and deposeth that he this deponent being at Bilboa in Spayne
in the monethes of June and July 1653. last past and in Company
of the arlate David England he did within that tyme videlicet in the
month of June heare the sayd England say and declare to this
deponent that he had laden aboard the sayd shipp Saint Peter whereof
Cornelius Jacob Seil was master then riding neere Bilboa a bagg
of moneyes conteyning about two hundred peices of 8/8 of the first
