IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN:: I John Dickons Cittizen and haberdasher of London being in perfect health of body and of good memory God bee praised doe make this my last will and Testament as ffolloweth

FFIRST I bequeathe my Soule to the hands of Allmighty God my Maker trusteing to be Saved through the Merritts of Jesus Christ my Redeemer my Body I desire may be buried in decent manner where my wife if liveing or my Executor shall thinke good

ITEM I give and bequeath my loveing wife Elizabeth Dickons one full Third part of my Estate my ffunerall Charges first paid of which I allow Two hundred 50 poundes to be expended

ITEM I give unto my ffower Children William Elizabeth Thomas and John Dickons one other full third parte thereof to be equally devided amongst them when they come to the Age of one and Twenty yeares the other third part thereof I give as ffolloweth

FFIRST I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Dickons towards the Augmentation of her portion ffive hundred pounds to be paid upon her Marriage day

ITEM ffortie pounds to be given in small Legacies to Sevearll freinds according to a noate herein to be Annexed the Residue of the Said Third part I desire my wife may ?paing the proffitt thereof dureinge her widdowhood for and towards the educaon and maintenance of my Children till they attaine the Age of 21 yeares But in Case shee marry my desire and will is that my Executor shall paing the same first and towards their maintenance till they come to the age of one and Twentie yeares or manadge a trade for themselves and then my will is if the three Sonnes be all liveing att the Age of one and Twentie yeares or when they manadge a Trade that it be equally devided amongst them or betwixt those that shall be liveinge at the age of 21 yeares and incase any of my three Sonnes shall depart this life before they attaine the Age of one and Twenty yeares that then his or their portions and parts shalbe equally allowed and devided and come to the survivour or survivours thereof and incase they all three depart the life before they come to the age of one and Twentey then xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx my two daughters Ann and Elizabeth four children And my will is that if my daughter Elizabeth shall depart this life before shee marry or attaine the Age of one and Twentie yeares that the portion allotted her be equally devided amongst my Surviving Sonnes And of this my last will and Testament I doe constitute ordaine and appointe my loveinge Brother George Dickons being lawfull Executor unless he be not liveing or not willinge to take upon him the trouble thereof xxxxxxxxxxxx and desire my loveinge brother Thomas ?Harrington to be sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, and because I know not how my Estate may come home XXXXX XXXX may amount unto I desire my Executor may make such an equall ?dispositon from my estate as money doth come in accordinge to the parts bequeathed them

Elizabeth Dickons of the parish of S:t Olaves Hart Street London Widdow of the above named John Dickons deced aged about ffiftie three yeares and George Dickons of Allhallowes Barking Merchant aged about ?nine and ffiftie yeares

of Age the Brother of the said John Dickons and Edward Dickons of S:t Mary Maudlin Millestreete London And William ffinch of greate S:t Hellens parish in London Merchant Aged about two and Thirtie yeares and Ann Dickons of the said parish of greate S:t Hellens Widdow aged about 57 yeares, beinge severally sworne upon the holy Evangelist did severally despose that they did well know John Dickons the Testator named in the will above Written and that he departed this life upon or about the third day of October 1662 at his house in ?Cumholt ffryers and that the next morninge after the death these deponents goinge into his Studdy to finde his will did there finde the will above written lying upon his Table amonge other pts there and these deponents Elizabeth Dickons George Dickons and Edward Dickons haveing now recved and prased the said will doe severally despose that they were and are very well acquainted with the Character and Manner of writing of the said John Dickons and doe firmly beleive and are assuredly pswaded that the said was and is all wrote by the Said John Dickons w:th the prose hand writinge of the said John Dickons Elizabeth Dickons George Dickons Edward Dickons W:m ffinch Ann Dickons
