Known Kent gentry & manor houses in 1640-1669
This page provides a list of known Kent gentry & manor houses in 1640-1669 in the north Kent area formed roughly by a triangle of Seavenoaks, Maidstone and Rochester, and in the east kent area formed roughly by a triangle of Canterbury, Dover and Sandwich. The intention of this page is to provide contextual information on possible gentry and other socially and/or commercially significant residents of these areas with whom the Oxenden and Dallison families may have had contact or of whom they would have been aware.
The list is inevitably partial, and does not seek to be a source for statistical analysis. Data are frequently from single sources and have not yet been verified.
