  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

To the Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first hee saith hee was borne at Genua and hath lived about
three yeares in holland, and before for seaven yeares in Savoy, and at
Tholon and Marseilla, and other places thereabouts, and saith hee
hath belonged to the said shipp Saint mary about 16 monethes last, and
otherwise negatively, saving as aforesaid, referring himselfe to his
foregoeing deposition.

To the third hee saith hee hath knowne the said shipp the Saint Mary da
Guarda lupa about 16 monethes last, but where or by whom shee
was built hee knoweth not, nor was hee this rendent a witnesse
to any bill or sale made of her. And otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the 6th hee saith the said John de la Kint otherwise John Kint
is commonly reputed a hollander, and the other factors are alsoe accompted
hollanders. And otherwise hee cannot depose saving as aforesaid.

To the 7th hee saith the said Balthazar and John Coymans sent out
in the said shipp from Amsterdam to teh Canaries linnen cloth,
dimities, pipestaves, and striped stuffs, which hee knoweth because hee
sawe them laden, but this deponent did not see them in their
houses or warehouses before the lading, And otherwise hee cannot
depose saving as aforesaid.

To the 11th hee saith hee doth not knowe that the said shipp doth
belonge wholly or in part to the said Coymans, but hee beleeveth
shee belongeth to them wholly. And otherwise hee cannot answer
saving as aforesaid.
