To the third hee saith hee this deponent did not see any fisherman lying
neere the place where the sayd shipp the Wildman Anchored the tyme predeposed
neither did the sayd shipp runne upon any wherry lying in any roade nor
put any person in danger by such her Anchoring there this hee knoweth
for the reasons aforesayd And further hee cannot depose/
To the 4th hee saith that the next day after the sayd shipp had soe cast
Anchor the Master and company coming to weigh the same up found a
roape laughed to the anchor which seemed to bee a roape of some weeles
or wilchins there layed to catch fish and came from under water
without any boy thereto, And hee further deposeth that upon the comming
up of the sayd roape there came a fisherman (whome hee beleeveth to
be the partie agent in this suite) and cut the roape of the sayd weele or
wilchins close to the anchor and heaved the sayd weeles or wilchins
on board his boate, And hee saith that hee sawe noe person neere
the sayd place where the sayd shipp soe anchored till such tyme as the
sayd fisherman came and cut the sayd roape, And that in case any
damage happened to any weeles or wilchins therein the same
happened not by any neglect of the Master and company of the
Wildeman but for want of a boy to discover where they lay or
of some person to give notice that there lay such things there the
premisses hee deposeth for the reasons aforesayd and further hee cannot
depose./
To the last hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true/

To the first It being done as is required hee answereth that saving
his foregoeing deposition hee cannot answere./
To the second hee saith hee can speake very little English and
that hee is Carpenter of the Wildeman and otherwise negatively
