IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Richard Spencer of London Esquire being of perfect and sound memorie praised bee God, but of weake and fraile body and not knowing how it may please the Almighty in his Providence to dispose of mee I doe for the quiet both of my owne mind and I trust full satisfacon to all persons make and Ordaine this as my last Will and Testament viz:t
1. ITEM I doe comitt my Soule into the hands of my good and gracious God, not doubting but through the meritts of my Saviour I shall receive pardon and remission of all my Sinns and a blessed Resurrection unto eternall life; And for my Body I Doe Comitt it to the Mother of us all the Earth to bee decently interred at the discretion of my Executor and Executors hereafter named
2. As for those temporall Goods and Chattells Lands and Tenements that it hath pleased God to indow mee with I consent the same bee according to the Laudable Custome of Citty of London the bee devided into three equall parts and devisions, the one third part unto my deerly beloved wife, one other third part unto my Children and the other third part I will and ordaine it bee disposed as followeth viz:t I give and bequeath unto my deerely beloved wife over and above her one third part of my Estate devided according to the Custome of the Citty One Thousand pounds besides her jewells and Chamber furnisht to bee paid unto her one yeare after my decease not doubting that she will make her affection good unto mee still in these tokens and pledges of our Love I leave behind mee, and y:t they may share of her kindness and blessing as well as they have of mee
ITEM I give unto my Three Daughters Elizabeth Martha and Mary each of them One Thousand pounds a peece to be paid unto them at or upon there severall daies of marridge or Age of One and Twenty yeares, which happens first and in case of any of them decease before their said marridge or Age of One and Twenty yeares to be paid to the survivor or survivors of them
ITEM I give and bequeath unto my late Brother M:r Robert Spencer deceased each of his children the sume of Twenty pounds a peece, but to my Godsonne Richard Spencer Three Hundred pounds

MEMORANDUM That upon or about The Twenty Eigth day of August in the yeare of our Lord One Thousand Six hundred Sixty and Seaven Richard Spencer Esquire Late of the parish of S:t Mary Newington in the County of Surrey But at the tyme of his death of Berry Streete London deceased being in perfect mind and memory and having an intention to add unto his last Will and Testament bearing date The Twenty Sixth day of August 1667 aforesaid did further declare his mind and will in these or the like words in effect vzt: I desire that my Couzen ?Sydon may have Twenty pounds, M:rs May tenn pounds, M:rs Brace Twenty pounds, M:r Danyell Wigsall Twenty pounds And the Company of Vintners towards building their hall Twenty pounds
