Examined upon the sayd allegation/

William Glover of Linne in the county of Norfolk
Mariner aged 23 years or thereabouts a witnes
sworne and examined saith and deposeth as followeth videlicet
To the 1: 2: and third and 4th articles of the sayd allegation hee saith that hee
this deponent was and went Carpenter of the arlate ship the
Concord in her last boyage and knoweth that in her sayd voyage
she was a strong and tight shipp and for that hee helped to stowe
her homewards ladeing hee the better knoweth that the same was
well and sufficiently stowed, And hee alsoe saith that the said shipp
in her course homewards for England off of ffleckery upon the coast
of Norway mett with a very violent storme which continued
With ggreat furie for space of eighteene howers and upwards
And hee saith soe great the force and furie thereof was that if often
wrought over the decks with much violence and one wave came with
soe great violence that the same washed away one of the sayd
Shipps company from the mayne yarde, soe that hee perished in the
Ssa and could not be saved, and an other of her company from off of the
quarter deck who by Gods great mercie was recovered on board and
saved, and the same wave alsoe washed away three packs of wooll
that lay upon the quarter dark, and drewe the shipps boats from
her side cleere over the shipp soe that it could not be recovered, and
a;spe heaved a sheate Anchor which was lashed to the shipps side into
the shipp with such violence that by the meanes thereof
and alsoe by the shipps boats being soe drived over as aforesayd, and with
the force of the sea that then brake in upon her the wales of the shipp
were broken, and her seames of her upper decks soe strayned
that they opened whereby shee receaved in much water which
continually washed over deck And hee saith that those things
