7. this Commonwealth, aged 32 yeeres or thereabouts
8. sworne and exámined.
9. To the first, 2. 3. 4. and 5th articles hee saith and deposeth that ehee
10. well knoweth the producent Thomas Cox, and saith that in the time of
11. the late warrs betwixt this Nation and holland, the said Cox served
12. this State in the Elizabeth frigot under the command of this deponent
13. and was in the last great engagement of the fleete of this Commonwealth
14. against the hollanders, and therein fought and behaved himselfe staunchly
15. and valiantly of this deponents sight, standing to his place and
16. charge very well and effectually, and persisted therein untill the fight
17. was over, and continued in the said service untill the said warrs were
18. ended. And saith that this deponent comming with his frigot the

33. hee cannot depose, saving the said impressing was in or about the
34. end of december or beginning of January last was a twelvemoneth.
35. To the 6th hee saith the said Cox being soe impressed served in
36. the Marston Moore as a common man at the rate of 23s per
37. moneth wages.
